Terms of Service
These terms describe the Shopify checkout tracking migration service, customer responsibilities, and practical limits of third-party measurement.
Last updated: August 18, 2026
1. Agreement
These terms apply when you purchase or authorize Siyah to perform a technical service. “You” means the customer purchasing the service or an agency authorized to act for its client. A written scope, accepted quote, or project communication can add project-specific terms. If it conflicts with these general terms, the expressly agreed project-specific term controls for that project.
2. Standard Shopify tracking migration
The standard Shopify Checkout Tracking Migration is a one-time technical service priced at $325 USD per store. It covers up to three standard tracking integrations and ordinarily includes:
- Review of current checkout tracking and relevant customizations.
- Identification and planning of applicable legacy tracking migration.
- Implementation using a supported native integration, app pixel, custom pixel, or GTM/custom-pixel approach as appropriate.
- A controlled purchase-event test where the customer permits and enables it.
- Checks of intended event delivery, order/transaction identifier, value, currency, item data, and obvious duplicate or missing events where available.
- A concise migration and QA report.
The exact integrations and acceptance criteria are confirmed from the submitted intake and technical review. Work unrelated to checkout tracking is not included unless agreed separately.
3. Complex or custom work
A store can require a separate quotation when it includes more than three integrations, complex GTM or server-side tagging, multiple affiliate networks, custom apps, bespoke data layers, consent architecture changes, multi-store requirements, or other non-standard dependencies. We will identify material non-standard scope before performing or charging for separately quoted work.
4. Payment and project confirmation
Dodo Payments handles checkout and payment. A project is booked only after payment is verified server-side and the submitted project matches the service purchased. A browser return URL or `status` parameter alone is not proof of payment.
If you need to cancel, contact us promptly. Any cancellation or refund must take account of work already performed, commitments already made, the agreed scope, and any rights that cannot legally be limited. We will address reasonable problems with the delivered technical work in good faith.
5. Customer and agency responsibilities
You must:
- Have authority to engage us for the store and platforms in scope.
- Provide accurate store, plan, tracking, and upgrade-report information.
- Provide timely, authorized, role-based access with the permissions reasonably required for the agreed work.
- Identify who can approve Shopify, GTM, advertising-platform, test-order, and cutover changes.
- Approve a safe test-order method, test data, timing, and cleanup process when testing is in scope.
- Tell us about relevant consent, privacy, app, custom-code, agency, or change-window constraints.
- Review questions, findings, and approvals without unreasonable delay.
Never send passwords, API secrets, one-time codes, advertising-account credentials, or card information. We prefer named Shopify collaborator or staff access and platform-managed invitations with only the required permissions.
6. Timing and completion
Delivery timing depends on working access, accurate information, customer and agency approvals, an available test method, and the behavior of Shopify and external platforms. A project can be paused when required access or cooperation is unavailable, when a safe test cannot be run, or when the discovered scope materially differs from the purchased service. We will explain the issue and the next action rather than marking untested work as complete.
7. Testing and measurement limits
The service tests technical implementation and the consistency of data we can observe. A successful test does not guarantee that every future event will be collected. Consent choices, browser restrictions, ad blockers, network failures, checkout behavior, app behavior, and platform processing can affect measurement.
Shopify, Google, Meta, TikTok, affiliate providers, and other platforms can use different event definitions, attribution models, identity methods, time zones, reporting windows, filters, and processing delays. Their reported revenue can differ from Shopify even when the technical event is implemented correctly. Siyah does not promise perfect reconciliation between platforms, increased advertising revenue, a particular ROAS, or any other commercial outcome.
8. Third-party platforms
The service depends on third-party products we do not control, including Shopify and relevant advertising, analytics, tag-management, affiliate, app, payment, and email platforms. Those providers can change APIs, permissions, event schemas, policies, availability, or product behavior. If a change affects the agreed work, we will identify the impact and any revised action or scope reasonably required.
You remain responsible for your accounts, provider agreements, advertising decisions, privacy notices, consent configuration, and legal use of data. We do not modify third-party provider terms or guarantee their service.
9. White-label delivery
When white-label delivery is requested, the agency remains the primary client contact and controls approved client communication. We can provide implementation notes and a QA report for the agency’s delivery. White-label handling does not remove the agency’s responsibility to obtain client authorization, give accurate instructions, and communicate material findings.
10. Changes, rollback, and follow-up
We document material changes and take reasonable rollback precautions before retiring legacy tracking. Some Shopify and third-party changes cannot be reversed indefinitely, so approval and a controlled test are required where appropriate. If you or another provider changes the store, apps, theme, pixels, GTM container, consent system, or platform settings after verification, additional review can require a new scope.
11. Reasonable service standard
We will perform the agreed technical work with reasonable care and report material limitations we identify. These terms do not exclude obligations or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, but the affected party should communicate promptly and work toward a practical next step.
12. Privacy, changes, and contact
Our Privacy Policy explains how the site and service handle information. We may update these terms as the service changes. Updates apply from the date posted and do not rewrite an already agreed project scope without agreement.
